Route – Through Farsley, down to The Owl pub at Rodley, up Coal Hill Lane, along Intake/Swinnow through Stanningley, to Pudsey centre, then down to Fartown before heading back to the school.
- 2nd entrance to Westroyd Park to Springbank Rd/Coal Hill Ln/Bagley Rd junction
- Pedestrian crossing (just after Club Ln) to Top of Coal Hill Ln/Intake Ln junction
- Bus stop after the bypass bridge to The Britannia Pub
- Corner/bend on Littlemoor Rd (building that used to be a pub opposite Busy Bees) to top of Fartown where it becomes Greenside
- The Marsh Pub to round about at Bradford Rd (A647)

A Category B Short Fell Race, 5.2km with 800ft ascent, starting near the Crown Hotel on Lever Park Avenue in Horwich. This iconic race takes a route up to Rivington Pike and back, this is a short but hard fell race suitable for everyone. The race is kindly sponsored by Walsh sports. Race registration is in the Crown hotel from 1pm onwards on race day and closes 15 mins before the start of the race. The race traditionally takes place on Easter Saturday.

The 2024 race is a counter in the English Fell running championship.

Registration in Downham Village Hall – 100m south and up the hill from the centre of Downham (BB7 4BJ). Allow 15 min walk from car parking which is likely to be on a flat field. Please car share and follow signs and marshals instructions.
Held under UKA rules and registered with the FRA. This is an ‘AL’ category race and full FRA mandatory kit must be carried. Kit must be brought to registration for checking. NO KIT – NO RUN. Runners without kit at the finish will be disqualified.
Checkpoint cut-offs will be implemented (details on our website). Runners arriving at checkpoints after those times will be deemed ‘out of the race’ and must return directly to the finish.
