Newlands Memorial Race – English fell Champs Race 2 (Cat – AM)
Entries for FRA members only will open at 10:00 on Monday 17th February and close at 09.00 on Monday 24th February or when 80% of the places have been filled.

Distance – 8.75 miles
Efforts – 5 x 0.75 to 1 mile efforts (approx)
Route – Through Farsley, down to The Owl pub at Rodley, up Coal Hill Lane, along Intake/Swinnow through Stanningley, to Pudsey centre, then down to Fartown before heading back to the school.
- 2nd entrance to Westroyd Park to Springbank Rd/Coal Hill Ln/Bagley Rd junction
- Pedestrian crossing (just after Club Ln) to Top of Coal Hill Ln/Intake Ln junction
- Bus stop after the bypass bridge to The Britannia Pub
- Corner/bend on Littlemoor Rd (building that used to be a pub opposite Busy Bees) to top of Fartown where it becomes Greenside
- The Marsh Pub to round about at Bradford Rd (A647)

Efforts – 4 x 1.5 miles (ish)
Route – Down to Stanningley, up Broad lane to Bramley Town Street, down Henconner Ln (past bus depot) to Wickes, up Pudsey Rd to Pudsey centre, on to Uppermoor, then Waterloo Rd and back to the start

- Viaduct Richardshaw Lane to shops by Beacon Pub on Broad Lane
- Opposite Methodist Church on Upper Town Street to Bridge (under train track) on Henconner Lane
- Just after lights on Pudsey road (“Pudsey Speed Watch” sign on left) to Pudsey centre/Pudsey Town Hall traffic lights
- The Marsh pub to the last bus stop on Bradford Road before the Dawsons Corner roundabout

FRA Junior Championship Round 1
This is an FRA Junior Championship race for U9 (over 6)/U11/U13/U15/U17/U19. There is also a senior race at approx. 13.30 that can be entered via https://bcrunners.niftyentries.com/Duddon-Dash-Senior-Race-2025
We are very much looking forward to welcoming Junior runners to the Duddon Valley where we will be offering challenging but fun routes for each age group.
The Under 9/11 boys and girls will be exploring the area known as Dobby Shaw whilst the older age groups will venture a little further for each category with the Under 17 runners reaching Caw summit
The Under 19s will join the Seniors over the new Duddon Dash route that climbs up the Walna Scar Road to visit White Pike before finishing over Caw.
All routes will be fully flagged and lots of marshals will be on hand to offer encouragement and ensure the correct routes are followed for each race.

This year, the race takes place on May 3rd, 2025 in Strathyre, Perthshire at 13:00.
Allow plenty of time for the journey and registration. It’s early May Bank Holiday and traffic from Stirling, past Blair Drummond Safari Park, and through Callander can double the normal journey time.
There’s a licensed bar and free ceilidh after the race. Bar open from 5, and ceilidh starts at 8pm.
