Junior Races at 10:30 – U8 (over 6), 0.8km/30m; U10/U12/U14, 1.6km/50m; U16 & U18, 3.2km/100m. Prizes for best rat/mouse or any Halloween Fancy Dress. “Curly Wurly/Precision Goody-Bag” for all finishers. Run in conjunction with Within’s Skyline senior race.
The event will follow the usual format of 4 legs run in succession.
Leg 1 will be a solo leg of approx 7K with 450m of ascent (winning time 30 minutes approx).
Leg 2 is a pairs leg of 15k with 630m of climb (winning time 75 minutes).
Leg 3 is a pairs navigation leg that we believe will give competitors a choice of routes depending on their perceived running strengths (estimate of winning time: 70 minutes).
The solo final leg is 8K with 400m of ascent (winning time 35 mins approx).
