This course is mainly on tracks and field paths with a small amount of road / tarmac. Given the time of year trail shoes are advisable. £5.00 entry on the day (£1.00 now goes to host club).

Facilities: Parking at John Charles Centre overspill car park and surrounding area, please follow directions of marshals. Changing rooms and showers, toilet facilities. Maybe small charge

2nd Monthly Grand Prix of 2020

Sunday 19^th April at 10.30 a.m., Neiley Fields, Honley, HD9 6QT

This is the same course as last year. It is mainly on good tracks and field paths with shorter road sections than previous routes. Trail or fell shoes will be needed in wet conditions but in dry conditions (if you can remember what they are!) runners could use road shoes. The course is just less than 6 miles (approx. 9.75K) and climbs gradually to the same high point as previous years (290m in total). £5.00 entry on the day (£1.00 goes to host club).

Venue: Neiley Fields, Honley

Facilities: Parking at Holmfirth Harriers Clubhouse and on Gynn Lane. Please follow directions of marshals. Car share if possible.

Changing rooms and showers, toilet facilities and light refreshments after the race (Note: We will be following YVAA Committee recommendations and keeping refreshments simple – probably tea / coffee and a piece of cake or similar). Start just outside Clubhouse.

2020 Kirkstall YVAA Grand Prix

Tuesday 26^th May 2020 at 7.30pm, from Kirkstall Abbey

This course is about 6 miles and mainly grass, tarmac or dirt track. Given the time of year road shoes should be okay, but if conditions are very wet, trail shoes may be better. £5.00 entry on the day (£1.00 now goes to host club).

Venue: Kirkstall Abbey, Post Code LS5 3EH.

Race HQ: Burley Rugby Union Club, LS5 3NG

Facilities: Parking over the road adjacent to Abbey House Museum or in the streets behind the Vesper Gate Pub. Please car share if possible and park considerately for the locals if parking in the streets. Changing rooms, and toilet facilities in the race HQ. There is only one small shower block though. Cakes and biscuits will be available after the race.

Entries for all remaining places will open for all at 10:00 on Friday 15th March and a Waiting List will be used if the event becomes full (400 limit). Entries close 9th May unless full.

First English Champs Race of the year and it’s a popular on – This will be faster finger first. Entries open at 10am of Friday 7th February
