Hi
Can you run this if you are not in an affiliated club?
Thanks
Hi Sara – yes, you don’t need to be in a running club to run, the race is open to anyone. Hope to see you there!
Is it pay on the night?
Yep, enter on the night
What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
African or European swallow?
Haha – of course the African swallow is non migratory .
Great race last night and you all coped well with such numbers turning up!
Thank you Pudsey & Bramley for a brilliant and well organised race. The marshals were fab!
Thank you Pudsey & Bramley for a well organised, great race, my first time rushing around the rhubarb and I’ll be back! Fab marshals (especially the one who controlled the cows!).
Thank you Pudsey and Bramley! Great race, great support and lovely marshals – they make all the difference. Cow control much appreciated. I’m definitely already planning on doing this again next year! Do you know when the results will be up? Great seeing so many enthusiastic kids as well!
Thanks for coming and for the kind words Nicola – link to provisional results posted above!
Hi,
Do you receive any kind of medal for finishing?
Hi Darren – nope, no medal I’m afraid.
Myself and my 2 children 8 and 12 would all like to run. What are the start times for each category and is it straight forward if I bring someone along to meet them at the finish.
Thanks
Paula
Hi Paula, the start times are staggered rather than separate races. So the Seniors are scheduled to set off at 7pm, and the next age category approx 5 mins after, etc. It should be very easy for you to have someone waiting at the finish, no problem.
Thanks for organising another lovely Rush Around the Rhubarb. Big thanks to all the marshals and folk in the background who make it possible. Tough little route. Love it.
If a child is 11 what categorie will they need to entered in please
Under 15s.
If two runners set off at the same time one running the course the correct way at an average speed of 10mph and one running it in reverse at an average speed six minutes per mile, at what point on the course would they pass each other.
They should pass at the half way point but it depends what vest they’re wearing – If the runner going in reverse is wearing a P&B vest, their navigation ability may be questionable and it’s possible they may simply never pass the other runner due to probably ending up in Eccleshill.
