Do you recommend regular trainers or trail shoes?
Hi Linda, it may be a little bit muddy in parts today, so I’d say trail shoes.
Excellent race tonight, really enjoyed it, well marshalled and on my door step too.
Well done!
Great Race! Really enjoyed the route – my first time doing it. Great organisation and enthusiastic marshals.
Don’t know if anyone else suffered a tirade of abusive language from a chap in the ‘wooden’ cabin/house, just as we emerged from the field and turned up Preisthorpe Road (track?). Can’t say I was particularly offended – I’m quite thick skinned – but his language was incredibly aggressive and an absolute disgrace – hope no younger runners had to suffer it. Otherwise, top evenings running!
Hi Martyn – we did get reports of the angry man in the shack, yes… after a bit of asking around, I don’t think the abuse was actually aimed at the runners and he may possibly be a vulnerable individual whose usual Tuesday evening routine involves shouting and swearing at passers-by. We’re investigating further to see to what extent it occured and how we might deal with it (or incoporate it into the race?) in future.
Thanks for the otherwise positive comments though, much appreciated, glad you enjoyed it and thanks for coming.
Hi, Matthew Higgins 23 (Bramley Breezers) results is wrong, he thinks he was pos 48. His strava time is 30:42 if that helps.
Hi David – thanks for spotting this. Looking at the results and the entry forms – it looks like Matthew and George Higgins ran in each others’ numbers (or were poss handed the wrong numbers!). Have fixed both entries now. Ta.
Thanks Graham. Very speedy reply.
