In line with tradition the 2020 Pudsey & Bramley Juniors Presentation Event took place in January after the Juniors Handicap Race. Over 120 Juniors, family friends descended on the Troydale Recreational Club for an afternoon of celebration and merriment.
The annual event is an opportunity for the hard work of our Juniors to be rewarded & following on from a fantastic year there was much to celebrate.
Our new Club Colours were awarded this year to the Juniors that have represented the club in competitive events over the year, with 2 levels Claret & Gold.

In addition to the category awards, this year saw the launch of a new trophy, the Alexandra Bell Outstanding Junior Award. This new award will be presented every year to the Junior that has made an all-round contribution to the Juniors section & this year was awarded to Mitchell Boocock for his outstanding efforts over the last few years, competing and helping with the section and dedication to health & safety.
Whilst Alex Bell was not available to present the trophy on the day (understandably swapping Pudsey for warm weather training!) she was recently able to attend a Juniors training session to personally award the trophy to Mitch. We are delighted for the support she has given the Juniors with this award.
Finally we wrapped up the presentation by announcing our two new Junior Captains for 2020:
- Female Captain 2020: Emelia Jamieson
- Male Captain 2020: Ben Simenton
After the proceedings it was time for everyone to enjoy themselves in good Pudsey & Bramley tradition.
Well done to all the award winners & we look forward to seeing the amazing heights that we know the Juniors are going to achieve in 2020.
Special thanks to Joanne Boocock for organising the event and putting on a great do!!
