WEST YORKSHIRE ATHLETICS CROSS COUNTRY RACE 3 – 14 NOVEMBER 2015 – KEIGHLEY
Another strong showing from the Senior Ladies, with Alex taking the win, Sian 4th, Rachel 17th, Suzi 23rd and (in her first XC race for P&B) Belinda 42nd. Great efforts all round and 2nd Ladies’ Team overall and still in the number one spot for the league with only one race to go! It’s looking like a very good chance for winning the League overall for the Ladies Team, knocking Holmfirth off the top spot where they’ve dominated for the past few years. Fantastic stuff.
We had quite a few missing members for the Senior Men’s, with only Neil Armitage and Matthew Seddon out, but still putting in some hard graft to finish 15th and 61st respectively.
We had a great turn out for the juniors, with 13 across the different age categories. The conditions were very wet and very muddy but everyone of them did their best and completed the course. Fantastic efforts from (in age group order):
Ty Bowker, Josh McCartney, Maya Sekhon, Amber Sekhon, Georgia, Natasha Robinson, Mitchell Boocock, Matthew Dolan, Lucas Mills, Kiernan Kennedy, Emily Kite, Erin Hinchliffe and Archie Armitage.
The last cross country race in this series will be on Sunday 6th December at Nunroyd Park, Guiesley. Lets try and make it a full house.
