Well done to young Declan Walker who finished a superb 11th in the BOFRA Under 12 Championships this year.
This was Declan’s second BOFRA season,having run 8 races last year; this time round, however, he completed 12 races (couldn’t make them all ‘cos his dad was working!) earning 383 points with 3 top ten finishes (8th in all 3) and four 11th placed finishes.
Highlights of the season include finishing 30th (8th in the BOFRA champonship) at Ambleside show out of 105 starters and 13th at Wasdale show (8th again in BOFRA). Declan commented that “a big hill and close competition” made this his favorite race.
Next season Declan is hoping to carry on with the fell racing but said he would also like to try his hand representing P&B at some track and field events too.
We look forward to seeing further great results from this young up-and-comer, flying the maroon-and-gold flag for the P&B Juniors!
